"Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs"

Mission

The mission of GEAR UP Roswell is to inform, prepare, and provide assistance to our students for success in training and education.

Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) Partnership Grant is a seven-year federal initiative designed to increase early college awareness, readiness, and success for low-income and underrepresented students. The grant follows a two-year cohort of students beginning in 7th grade and running through their first year of post-secondary education. Our program and the GEAR UP Partnership Grant services approximately 1800 students in total throughout the lifetime of the grant.

We believe young people who start planning while they are in middle school have a better chance of entering college and completing their degrees.
