The Project C-3PO Pillars are

The project’s local partners include the Roswell Hispano Chamber of Commerce, Roswell Public Library, Roswell Chaves County Economic Development Corporation, WESST, Lake Arthur Municipal Schools, Hagerman Town Hall, Dexter Town Hall, and ENMU-R departments of IT Services, Adult Education, Student Services, Institutional Research, and the center for Community and Workforce Training.

Equipment
Hotspots will be utilized as broadband access points to allow participants to connect to a Wi-Fi network with a phone, tablet, laptop, etc.
Laptops will be available for check-out by participants to attend computer literacy courses.
Computer literacy training will be offered in the areas of Introduction to Computers as well as introductory level courses in Microsoft’s software ecosystem to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Intuit’s QuickBooks. The courses will vary per location depending on identified skills gaps. Each course will be taught both in English and Spanish by skilled instructors in 1.5 hour class sessions. Class sizes are limited to 10 students per location.
IT Support
Support is provided by trained technicians stationed at the ENMU-Roswell campus. Anyone from the community is encouraged to call if they need assistance.
Hotline hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM and noon to midnight on the weekends.
Project C-3PO: Success by the Numbers
Project C-3PO completed all deliverables except for Goal 1: Objective 1.5 Deliver Training 1.5 OUTCOME 194 computer literacy courses 960 participants. However, we are on the brink of completing 1.5 OUTCOME 194 computer literacy courses with 960 participants as follows:
- 744 Computer Equipment Skills (Hotspots) “One & Done” training courses which involved the function, operation, purpose, and use of hotspots
- 6 Computer Literacy Skills courses for Level 1 Beginners (Introduction to Computers) and Level 2 Basic which includes instruction in Word 101, Excel 101 and PowerPoint 101
October 2023-December 2023 - 4 Computer Literacy Skills courses Level 2 Basic (Word 101)
March 2024-April 2024 - 1 Computer Literacy Skills course Level 3
March 2024-April 2024 - Total courses delivered via training 744/194
The Big Picture
- 744 participants have been provided Computer Equipment Skills training
- 57 participants have completed Level 1 and Level 2 Computer Literacy Skills class as of December 2023
- 18 participants have completed Level 3 Computer Literacy Skills classes on April 6th, 8th, and 9th 2024
- 819 of 960 Total Participants
The 3rd cohort of Level 1 Computer Literacy Skills classes will begin May 2024.
