Spring 2021 Scholarships
ENMU-Roswell has a wide range of scholarships available to students attending our campus. Scholarships are awarded for a variety of reasons, including: academic achievement, financial need, campus/community activities, leadership positions, and work experience. Several outside organizations also offer scholarships to area students to assist them with educational costs.
Students, please take advantage of the following opportunities to help you pay for your educational expenses for the upcoming 2021 Spring term.

Completed applications can be mailed, faxed or emailed to ENMU-Roswell. There is also a drop box located outside the Student Services Center that can be utilized. ENMU-Roswell Displaced Worker Healthcare Scholarship
Requirements –
- Must have a valid NM photo ID
- Must submit proof of worker displacement
- Must be enrolled in a healthcare program
- Encouraged to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
ENMU-Roswell Skill and Technical Training Scholarship
Requirements –
- Must have a valid NM photo ID
- Must submit proof of GED/HiSET completion
- Must be enrolled in an eligible certificate program
- Encouraged to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Foundation Scholarships – Deadline – January 29, 2021
ENMU-Roswell Foundation Scholarship
Requirements –
Must be a NM Resident
Must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (full-time)
Must complete a FAFSA
Must have unmet need
Entering freshmen must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
Continuing ENMU-R students must have completed the previous semester with a 3.0 GPA or higher
Must demonstrate unmet need as determined by the Financial Aid Office
Claribel Marshall Trust Scholarship
Requirements –
Must be pursuing a degree in a Health Education program
Must be a Continuing student
Must have completed at least 12 credit hours in their previous semester with a minimum 2.5 GPA
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
Must demonstrate unmet need as determined by the Financial Aid Office
Desk and Derrick Club of Roswell Scholarship:
Requirements –
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Enrolled in 12 credit hours or more
Have an overall grade point average of 2.5 or higher
Degree seeking in Welding Technology, Occupational Safety Engineering, Automotive Technologies or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Elson Ray Phelps
Requirements –
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Maria de Los Angeles Nursing Scholarship
Requirements –
Must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours
Must be continuing students with at least 12 hours completed in previous semester
OR can be enrolled at least 6 hours if an entering freshmen directly from high school
Must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA
Must be enrolled in any Health Education program or Teacher Education
Must be a single parent
Have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Morgan and Joyce Nelson Endowed Scholarship
Requirements –
Must be a B or C student
Must be degree seeking in any Certificate or Associate program

Sally Pacheco Memorial Scholarship
Requirements –

Saul Sanchez Nursing Scholarship
Requirements –
Must be accepted and enrolled in the Nursing program

Sharon Farris-Stern Nursing Scholarship
Requirements –
Must be accepted and enrolled in Nursing program
Must be a Continuing student
Must have completed at least 8 credit hours in their previous semester with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Must be enrolled in at least 8 credit hours
Have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Steve Lovato Memorial Scholarship
Requirements –
Must be enrolled in the Advanced EMT (AEMT) Program for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 Semesters
Must have completed the Summer 2018 session with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA in all EMS courses prior to receipt of scholarship
Have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Thomas M. Coates Memorial Aviation Scholarship
Requirements –
Must be continuing Aviation Maintenance Technology student
Must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA
Have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid
William H. McCutchen Scholarship
Requirements –
Must be a NM resident
Must be enrolled at least 6 credit hours
Must maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA
Must complete a FAFSA
Must have unmet need as determined by Financial Aid Office
Nestor and Thea Otterson Endowed Scholarship
Requirements –
U.S Citizens
Must have unmet need as determined by Financial Aid Office
Lankford-Breeden Scholarship
Requirements –
Are a Business related program major
Must have unmet need as determined by Financial Aid Office
Jeanie Whitwam Endowment Scholarship
Requirements –
Are New Mexico residents
Are continuing students with 12 credit hours attempted/completed in previous semester
Are enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for current semester
Are a Health Sciences Program Major
Must have unmet need as determined by Financial Aid Office
Patricia K. Jennings Scholarship
Requirements –
Are new or continuing students with 12 credit hours attempted/completed in previous semester
Have an accumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Are a Child Development Program Major
Priority will be given to a student who is disabled, has a child attending the child care center at ENMU-R or a student who currently works for the child care center at ENMU-R.
Must have unmet need as determined by Financial Aid Office

Requirements –

Roswell Woman’s Club Scholarship: Deadline January 15th, 2021
(All applications will be considered regardless of gender)

Enrolled in 12 credit hours or more

Krumland Auto Group Automotive Technician Scholarship
Requirements –
Student must be a U.S. Citizen
Preference will be given to New Mexico residents
Be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours ➢ Are new or continuing students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Must be degree seeking in the Automotive Technician Associate of Applied Science program
Demonstrate unmet financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All requirements to complete the financial aid file must be processed and finalized prior to submitting this application.
